The site extends to approximately 21.5ha and is situated to the south east of Newent.

 

The site lies to the south-east of Onslow Road and to the south of Gloucester Street.

 

Existing residential development and employment land is located to the west of the site and open countryside to the south. Gloucester Street and the B4215 bound the site to the north and east.

 

The most recently published consultation for the emerging Forest of Dean Local Plan, up to 2041, has identified a requirement for a further 600 dwellings in Newent. This site would help to meet the housing needs of Newent up to 2041.
